Busy, busy, busy
2006.02.23

This weekend Frank will fly to Johannesburg. It is time to train the muscles for the race in Abu Dhabi and also get in a relaxed mood to race. It has been a hectic winter. Lost of negotiations with sponsors, the shooting of the pilot commercial, the production of the first Dutch aerobatic DVD (still delayed because of problems, we apologize) and of course the hunt for the new aircraft. It will be very interesting to see in which directions the developments of aircrafts will go. To give you an impression, the Yanks can change or pump up engines to 360, 380 or 400 horse power, change props or do whatever they like, and the pilots who fly certified aircrafts may not change a single screw in the cowling.

This is the reason Frank decided to go for the certified development design. Later we can inform you about the progress. We do hope more Dutch companies kick in and support this fantastic development of a new Dutch aeroplane. 2 weeks ago Frank gave a presentation at the RNAA seminair airsports and made a bet with the boss of Dutch CAA (Helma Nepperus) about the registration of his new race aircraft. Al the aircrafts he ever owned had foreign (G-SOLO, D-EMUJ, D-EWAP, OO-OLE and D-EZOZ) had foreign registrations. Maybe this new manager will be in the position to make changes within our so respected CAA.

Next report will be from Frank himself in "Dark Africa", the part of the World he loves so much.
