Yes or No,
In life you often have choices. Am I going to say YES or am I going to say NO.
Not long ago I have been approached to fly 2 airshows in Tripoli.
The reimbursement of these performances would basically pay for all my hangar, insurance and maintenance costs for the whole year. A very interesting proposal.
A very nice, long ferry flight up and down to Tripoli wold have been great.
(I still remember my Mallta airshow in 2000) I was away from home for 17 days, got stuck in the south of Italy because of very bad weather in the Alps, but, what the heck, it was a great experience.
I decided to not accept the offer for Tripoli. Three reasons.
Ferry from Malta to Tripoli was too much water under the wings.
Organisor did not want to pay in advance.
But most important, the " What if" question. What if there is a problem in Tripoli? Technically, Politically, etc. etc. etc.
Again one of the better decisions to sys NO.
BTW, I said YES to a display in Korea.
Will I go there. NO, I will not go to Korea.
(Interesting, because if I say YES, it is YES. A man a man, a word a word)
