News from the Emirates.
The race was postponed 24 hrs because of a sandstorm, and, these winds up to 30 kts were 90 degrees on the runway heading. So not a good option to fly. My technician Martin protected the aircraft and engine a s good as possible against the dusty sand.

At Saturday the weather was much better, 33 degrees adn burning hot. We needed to drink a lot, in order to prevent de-hydration.
At 16:41 Kirby took of for the first heat. It was my turn at 16:45 LT
The first round was without mistakes, but not fast enough. Now, my aircraft is realy the only limiting factor. It is frustrating to see that the flying and the style is good, but the speeds is not enough. It simply "SUCKS"!
The second round was faster and as a result of this I was a bit to high in gate number 3 (right knife edge, after a high G left turn).
Kirby did beat Mike Mangold and Peter Besenyei came third. (He changed aircraft before qualification because his secret weapon the Velox, proved to be a little bit to much secrets)
It realy hurts to be at the bottom of the ranking but the main reason is that a big new sponsor broke agreements for 2007-2010. (This happens, and we still have to fight consequenses).
