October 3rd was a challenging day at Teuge airport. The weather forecast was miserable. Strong winds and rain, according to the weather frogs.
Fortunately the rain stayed away bit fully overcast was interesting for the foto competition.
The positive thing; no other flying traffic at Teuge.
The jury had a difficult job in deciding who was the winner.

As you know Frank decided to hand out two award per season. The first one has been "dealt with" and we will not mention it further. Frank also announced the Hero of the year award. And the winner is...........................................................................

This is to attest that Ralph Aarts in his role of representing
the Royal Netherlands Air Force, is holder of the prestigious title
Hero of the year 2009.
Ralph Aarts excelled not only in his role as display pilot of the F-16 but also fulfilled the role as ambassador for aviation and airshows in specific.
There are many pilots who can fly an F-16 but only few know to combine flying skills with promotional activities the way Ralph Aarts did for three years in a row.
His contribution to aviation and creating a dream for many, is highly appreciated.
It has been a pleasure to observe "Sheik" passionate at work.
His work would not have been possible without the professional and generous support of the members of his team.
