As the Rotterdam leg of the race is on short finals a lot of people ask me if I can advice or help them with tickets.
As I have no part in the organisation I do not have any influence on this. It is the best way to buy a ticket via the internet and come and enjoy the race. Qualifying on saturday will be very interesting and I forecast pilon hits and loads of special tricks from the 12 race pilots. Bring your camera\'s!
Both days I will be in the commentator booth analysing and giving expert commenatry for the International TV product which will be seen in 135 countries. The commentary will be done by my collegue Nick Fellows from England.
I cannot inform you about who will do the commentary in Dutch.
The pilots will operate from Rotterdam International Airport, we call the TRW (Temporary Run Way) Only 2 minutes flying away from the race track. The track is 6800 meters long and is considered by the pilots as not to difficult.
Last sunday I was in the RTL GP studio after the Canada GP F1.
It was a pleasure to meet Jos "the Boss" Verstappen. Walking to the studio he told me how impressed he was with wath race pilots do. And, that he is not very keen on flying. Not even in a normal GA airplane. (So I decided, Jos has to fly Extra)
During the live tv program Jos , by surprise to everyone told in front of camera, that he would fly with me!
So, soon in this theatre, Jos and Frank, upside-down! I keep you informed.
First Jos has to win the 24 hrs of Le Mans togehter with his other two team mates. Good luck Jos!
